CVA Wolf™ Stainless - PR2110SM.

Sold by Muzzle-Loaders.com
The redesigned Wolf™ has many new features including all the features that made the original Wolf the number one selling muzzleloader in the world. Still lightweight and easy to maneuver, the new Wolf even comes in a compact version that is just right for youth or small-framed adults, or even for the shooter who just wants a quick-handling gun for brush hunting.
The 100% ambidextrous stocks are available in either black or Realtree® Hardwoods Green camo. The Wolf also features CVA’s new QRBP (Quick-Release Breech Plug) – the only truly tool-free removal breech plug on the market today. Even after 20 or more shots, the QRBP comes out with just a twist of the fingers – try that with any other "speed breech" system. Plus, the break-action breech opens easily with just a touch of the breeching button, which is located in the front of the trigger guard.
The Wolf’s compact and quick-pointing barrel is made of stainless steel and is set up with a DuraSight® fiber optic sights. The Wolf, it’s a lot of gun – but not a lot of money.

CVA Wolf™ Stainless - PR2110SM.
"Shot 150 yards with no problem with my wolf. 50-100 yards was a chip shot 3 hornady xtps in the same hole using triple seven magnum pellets 120 grains total. 150 yards produced 1.5 inch groups using the correct reticle in the scope. Great value for the money. Easy to clean is a huge plus. Made with durable quality parts ! Love it. Keeping mine forever. Why spend more "
"Started looking around to upgrade my old CVA Woods rifle, and wanted a newer break action muzzleloader. Saw the CVA Wolf in SS on ML.com for the best price I’ve seen after looking all over the Internet, and thought I would give it a try. I really like the quick out breech plug, fit and finish seem pretty nice, gave it a try at 25 yds using cheapshots and pyrodex pellets have some promising groups, that will hopefully improve when I start shooting more formally with loose powder. Over all very good purchase and went smoothly through ML.com"
"I've mounted my wolf with a nikon inline xr bdc 300 scope. I seen a review about how poorly the gun is made and I have to disagree. Sometimes you get a bad product out of the hundreds that are made perfect, that's with anything. My gun has been great since it came out of the box. I use 250gr shockwave sabot with 100gr of pyrodex pellets. Very accurate. Killed two deer back to back without cleaning, first at 33yds the next at 85yds. "
"I bought the CVA Wolf for my wife. It is built for smaller folks and fit her well. I took off the scope mount, put on a rail and red dot sight and had it dialed in after three shots. Can't wait for deer season."
"My experience with Muzzle-Loaders.com was very good. The CVA Wolf worked well for me when I was sighting it in and is very easy to clean. I recommend both Muzzle-Loaders.com and the CVA Wolf."
"Big bang for the bucks. I found the 295 gr powerbelts with 2 50gr 777 pellets give 2 inch groups 100 yrds out! I nailed a big doe at -6 deg last winter love my Wolf!
"I bought a CVA Wolf and just went out to sight it in last Thursday. I read the owner's manual, followed the charge instructions and did everything suggested by the company before firing it. Because I was sighting it in and wanted the the most stable shooting platform possible, I attached a bipod to the forearm. Keep in mind, there were no warnings or admonishments in the owner's manual or any other paperwork indicating the front eyelet for the sling swivel is built too cheap and weak to accommodate a bipod. Despite that, on the second shot, the rifle came flying back at me and I found the front eyelet had completely sheered off.
Not to be deterred, I continued to sight the rifle in. After the fifth shot, the push rod guide came off with the push rod. I reaffixed it the best I could and took two more shots before stopping to clean the rifle for the third time (I cleaned it every two or three shots as suggested). The push rod guide came off with the push rod again. However, this time when I went to reaffix it, I noticed the rail was completely sheered off.
Having lost my confidence in the rifle, I went home and called BPI customer service. I spoke to a man named Jeff and explained what happened after the first 5 rounds through my rifle. He offered to replace the parts for free. I told him I had lost confidence in the Wolf model because of how fragile it was in a sterile environment (bench rest, shooting table, target practice, etc.) and advised him I wasn't comfortable taking it out into an actual hunting environment. I asked him about the durability of the Wolf and he not only told me he had to replace the push rod guides on average one every other week, he also told me the Wolf is the "entry level" rifle. He was not surprised at all that the rifle had broken so easily. I also told him my son's muzzleloader season was currently open and I planned on taking him the following weekend. I told him time was of the essence.
I then told him I would email him the photos of the failures on the rifle and I requested an upgrade to the next level rifle. He said he would look at the photos, speak to his boss, and contact me the next day. I waited by the phone all day the following day and did not received a phone call (Friday). I was then forced to wait through the weekend without any resolution to the case.
I called BPI customer service again Monday at 1:00 PST and received a message they were closed (4:00 Eastern time). I called again today (Tuesday Sept. 19th, 2017) and spoke to a man named Joe. I asked him why I hadn't received a call and he checked the notes and told me they had not received my email. I then asked him why Jeff didn't call me Friday as he had promised, if nothing else to let me know the email didn't come through. He couldn't explain why Jeff left me hanging.
I explained the situation to Joe and told him my feelings and he said he would go talk to a manager. While I was on hold, I checked my sent mail and saw the email showed "delivered" on my end. I then forwarded the same email again just to make sure they couldn't say they didn't have it. I waited until it sent and confirmed it showed "delivered" again.
Joe then came back on the phone and told me they were unwilling to upgrade the rifle. He told me he would send the replacement parts and offered to throw in some Powerbelts. I told him I was not confident in the Wolf and he then said, "Well, you DID put a bipod on it." I then readvised him there was nothing in the paperwork indicating their rifles were too cheaply built to accommodate bipods and I was surprised he would suggest the failure of his rifle was in any way my fault. He immediately began to backpedal and tried to convince me that wasn't what he was insinuating even though it obviously was.
Seeing I would not be getting anywhere, I made a last-ditch effort to drag some actual customer service out of BPI. I reminded Joe my son's muzzleloader season was currently open and I planned to leave Thursday evening and would like to get the replacement parts on time. I asked him to overnight the parts he was sending me and he told me he was not willing to do that because it would cost $150. I then reminded him Jeff had promised to call be 4 days prior and had he kept his word, there wouldn't be a need to rush the parts. But because BPI's customer service representative failed to do what he promised, he created an unnecessary time crunch. I asked him to show some good faith and make it right and he flat refused.
I told him I was very disappointed in his lack of willingness to make things right and gave him my shipping information so he could just send the parts and I could end the phone call before I became even more angry. After hanging up, I received the following email:
I put those parts on order for you a minute ago. They will ship out within the next 1-2 business days. If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to give us a call or email us and we would be happy to assist you."
"We would be happy to assist you"? Really?
Dear BPI, what your customer service reps do speaks so loud, I can't hear a word they are saying.
Finally, the beauty of the internet and social media is I am instantly connected with thousands of people. I belong to several hunting groups, I teach hunter's education, I volunteer in wildlife habitat projects and rub shoulders with hundreds of hunters every week. As I promised Jeff and Joe, they had a chance to make things right and gain a loyal customer or choose to worry about $150 and run the risk of me sharing my experience with thousands of people. They chose the latter.
Buyer beware. I will never recommend a CVA muzzleloader to anyone. To the contrary, I will purposely steer everyone I can away from CVA and BPI. Not only are their products built to break, but their customer service is deplorable at best. Shame on you BPI."
"Ordered a cva wolf it came in 8 days not bad going from west coast to east coast , the price was great purchased the same ride from local gun shop was 60$ more these are great rifles will most definitely us muzzle-loaders.com again ."
"I love my cva wolf 1 pcs scope mount that securely holds my scope unlike two pcs mounts that creep. I use soapy water to clean then followed by gun oil. The rifling is superb would recommend this rifle to everyone!!!"
"Purchasing was smooth and easy with Muzzleloaders.com Great gun! Can't wait to use it."
"I am sure it will perform as expected. Will be curious to see if it shoots as well as my Optima V2. We will try Powerbelts as well as Plains bullets."
"I purchased a Wolf C V A # PR2110sm IN SEPT. 2016 when mounting the scope the screws heads stripped out (@ 20 in. pounds) I called C V A and the shipped 4 new screws @ N/C. I just hope the rest of the rifle is better made... P/S I haven't shot the rifle yet ? Due to the time i spent removing the stripped screw heads."
"I am new to muzzle loaders and wanted a rifle that would not break the bank. This is it! Came in the mail on Tuesday. Mounted scope and sighted in on Wednesday. Took 5pt whitetail on Saturday. Rifle worked flawlessly. Quality gun no doubt about it. Great rifling in the barrel as well as workmanship throughout. I like it a lot. very easy to clean and it looks good! Breaks down for easy cleaning. My 25 yr old son thought I was kinda stupid for getting into this but now that he has shot it he thinks it is very good way to extend hunting season. BTW Muzzle-Loaders could not have been a better place for me to buy this. Less expensive than box stores with loads more experience. Thanks for the help!"
"I finally settled on the CVA Wolf muzzleloader ... did not want to shell out the money for a top-of-the-line muzzleloader, so I had to do my homework to get a balance of price and features. I read a lot of on-line reviews and research, and I think I made a good choice with the CVA Wolf. I went with the complete package with camo stock, scope, and starter kit included.
One disadvantage is that the comb of the Wolf stock was not designed for this higher scope mount. The comb rests a little low on the cheek when using this scope mount. For me, this was a minor inconvenience, and an acceptable trade-off to keep the ability to use the iron sites along with the scope.
Last night I took the time to clean the rifle from shots fired after sighting it in. The break action design makes cleaning relatively easy. I've heard stories about how difficult a muzzleloader is to clean. I did not have that experience. The black powder solution was able to easily clean the barrel after a few patches. The powder I used was advertised as "easy-clean", so perhaps that helped.
The Wolf has all the features of the most expensive muzzleloaders, but at a lower cost.
The hammer is accessible and easy to operate. Additionally, the gun produces good accuracy at 50 and 100 yards.
I hope this gun will provide many, many years of service."
