Like someone stated above, the screw provided for the forward mounting hole was just a tad too large in diameter. Luckily, I found one in my stash that fit. Also, the two base mounting screws did stick out a tiny bit at the bottom of the base which does not allow the base to fit flat on the gun. I ground the end of the screws off very carefully and it fit fine. My Renegade is an 80's model, so I didn't have to drill and tap anything.
I love this peep sight. It is just right for my old eyes. I can now hit a bullseye at 100 yards that I could not see with open sights.
With my aging eye sight I was having trouble focusing on the front sight. With the aperture rear sight I could easily see the front sight and target. The sight has very good click adjustments. Had to drill and tap the tang for one of the mounting screws. Wish the instructions would have indicated the proper thread size to buy a tap. Would have given 5 stars if the instruction had the proper info. The instructions said a 6-48 tread was normal. However the mounting screw was 8-40. With the proper tap, I was able to mount the sight in 30 minutes. Looks great and very accurate.
Screws extended below base plate causing it not to fit flush with tang. After installing shorter screws, fit perfectly. Adjustability is perfect and a huge improvement over original. Recommend it .
Product did not fit perfectly, needed a little modification. But otherwise I am satisfied with the peep sight.
Great sight, thanks.
