I installed this in my CVA Accura PR sonI could try out Blackhorn 209 powder. I'm very impressed. I've always used 777 pellets have been content. I've been told by many friends about the blackhorn powder and I'm glad I tried it. I went from shooting good groups to great groups.
I shot it yesterday at the range. No misfires, even with a no so nice pellets. Used Remington 209 shotshell primers. Worked every time, every shot.
Got it for a bergara barrel for a T/C prohunter. I had to sand the end of it down so I could get proper fit. It was about fifteen thousands of an inch off. It took me a minute but I made it fit perfectly. Shoots very well with blackhorn 209!
Worked great with no misfires.
Easy to use, performs well, quality value for the money. Definitely makes range time and field change out super easy!
I would recommend this to anybody shooting loose powder with a CVA rifle. The difference is unbelievable, more accuracy and tighter groupings. Make sure to use a magnum primer with this plug as well.
Using Blackhorn 209 for the last couple of years, I am impressed with it...I have a good set up with the CVA now. I cannot believe how good it shoots. Cannot believe how good and consistent (it is).
The BH209 Breech Plug works perfectly with other loose powders. In fact, with the original style plug, I used to get a debris ring...with the hollowed out BH209 plug, no ring and it is easy to load.
