The Remington® 700 Ultimate™ Muzzeloader is Remington’s only muzzleloader, but that doesn’t stop Remington from packing this gun with the best features. This rifle offers a higher level of performance and accuracy than any other muzzleloader on the market. Remington® designed the 700 Ultimate™ Muzzleloader exclusively to be the first muzzleloader to reach 300 yards and possibly beyond. The Remington adjustable X-Mark Pro™ trigger, Bell & Carlson black composite stock, and floor plate are features usually found on centerfire rifles, but Remington has integrated them beautifully into this exceptional bolt-action muzzleloader.

This rifle features the Ultimate™ Ignition System, which until now, has not been available on any mass-produced muzzleloader. Remington adapted this technology to work with their timeless 700 bolt-action. Instead of a musket cap or shotgun primer, the Ultimate Muzzleloader uses a primed centerfire magnum rifle casing, which mounts to the breech plug through the 700 bolt-action. Loading the primer is almost identical to loading a Remington 700 centerfire rifle. The primer and casing seat against the breech plug in an innovative way to produce a hotter, more direct powder burn, allowing this muzzleloader to efficiently burn up to 200 grains of powder.

The Remington® 700 Ultimate™ Muzzleloader is quick and easy to clean with its stainless steel, satin-finished barrel, and Bell & Carlson attractive, black composite stock. As a bonus, the Ultimate™ Ignition System allows the rifle to be cleaned without removing the breech plug. When cleaning the barrel, simply rotate the ramrod and patch to clean the face of the breech plug.

The Remington Ultimate Muzzleloader ships with 24 pack of primed magnum rifle casings and 24 saboted Barnes™ bullets. The gun comes with sling swivel studs and comes drilled and tapered for scope mounts. Finally, the Ultimate Muzzleloader comes complete with custom hard gun case for travel or storage, along with Remington’s two-year warranty. If you’re looking to take your muzzleloader hunting to a whole new level, the state-of-the art, Remington 700 Ultimate Muzzleloader will take you to 300+ yards, and is guaranteed not to disappoint.

  1. Great gun review by Mike P on 3/20/2019

"I own both models. Very accurate, and easy to clean when breach plug is removed. I agree that it is heavy, but if you stand hunt, this is the way to go. Reload the primers with a 3006 die, no need to resize; I’m sure the hand tool works also. Although it is 5X the price of a normal muzzleloader, if you clean it after every time you use it, it will shoot like new. "

  2. Ultimate Muzzleloader Love review by David O. on 2/28/2019

"Bought the Ultimate muzzleloader and love it. Went to the range and shoot 3/4" groups at 100 yards with the Remington 250 grain bullets and 110 grains of Blackhorn 209, Love it

  3. I'm reviewing the reviewer review by Matt T on 2/20/2019

"Remmingtons only ML?! False. My Remington Genesis is mostly produced by CVA but still holds the Remington Brand. "

  4. Tremendous look, feel, accuracy, simple, practical and easy to clean. review by Ron Fargen on 10/10/2018

"This is the only muzzleloader to buy in my opinion. It will pay for itself over time by spending less money on bullets and powder to sight it in and when a trophy buck is 200 yards out, its basically a done deal with a good rest. What is that worth? Its fun to shoot with superior results. Very dependable and shoots great groups without cleaning between shots. I'm not afraid to shoot 300 yards with a good rest. With time, I would expect great results shooting beyond 300 yards with a good rest. Can't wait to try it out in Colorado on a mule deer hunt next week. Thank you REMINGTON! "

  5. the last muzzleloader i will buy review by jeff on 2/26/2017

"one of the higher recoil muzzleloaders I own, but by far the most accurate.experimented with 8 different sabots, 3 diff powders, and after nearly 100 rounds I settled it in on the best shooter and have accuracy to 350 yds. Topped with a Leupold VX-6 2-12 CDS scope, this is a PERFORMER!. Have repeatedly shot at 150-200-250-300 & 350 yds with my specific load & charge in an attempt to find a fault, and the groups are incredible.A Little heavy for walking, but needed weight for those long shots! It took some time to get it dialed in but couldn't be HAPPIER now after last falls season & WILL be the ONLY gun of 5 blackpowder rifles I own that I will grab when goin to the deer woods!"

  6. Great shooter! review by James on 6/21/2016

"Bought this gun for a New Mexico elk hunt, as I wanted to have the confidence at longer ranges. This gun consistently grouped within 1" at 100 yards, using White Hot pellets and the supplied Remington bullets, which I think are made by Barnes. While a little heavy to carry all day, I didn't mind the weight to help minimize the recoil. I'd compare the recoil to a little more than a 300 Win Mag. Overall, great gun and would really have to nit pick to find things to complain about."

  7. I bought a lead weight with little support review by John Moore on 1/13/2016

"$1000 dollar boat anchor that I've been ran around on by ignorance and incompetence by Remington over the last 5 weeks. Sent it back less then a week after owning it and its been 5weeks now and was told to call back in another 2 weeks. I could throw the gun and get a better group at 100 yds then the over hyped junk I bought. Remington authorized service dept verified barrel was under bore with tight spots on top of that. But has to be sent to NewYork to be reevaluated since they apparently don't trust their hired and approved service provider. Asked if I would be compensated in any way for the inconvenience of the poor quality and Loss of a complete muzzleloader season. Remington replies if it's bad well give you a replacement or refund. That's how I would reward a repeat Remington buyer for bad quality and service."

  8. Ultimate Muzzleloader review by Colton J. on 8/11/2015

"Remington 700 Ultimate Muzzleloader is a superb shooter out of the box, with no suspicion of hang-fires or anything less than instant ignition with Blackhorn 209. The breeching system works like a charm and is easily the handiest, easiest and cleanest breeching array of any affordable muzzleloader I have owned.

The “Ultimate” Muzzleloader eliminates the filthiness of 209 primers, regular breech plug removal, drilling carbon out of breech plugs and poor ignition due to long interrupted thread breech plugs. The only maintenance I needed after shooting with Blackhorn 209 is a couple of Hoppe's No. 9 soaked patches up and down the barrel. Plus, the muzzleloader fires like a real rifle, without the slow lock time of hinge-pin hammer guns.

In my mind, the 700 Ultimate is not just a terrific muzzleloader. It is one of the best muzzleloaders out there today at an exceptional value.
