Description

The Lyman™ Lead Dipper is the ideal tool for casters looking for an efficient dipper for accurate pours. The cast iron head is shaped to achieve accurate lead pours helping to prevent air pockets in finished bullets. This long stem dipper can also be used for stirring molten lead alloys.

The Lyman™ Lead Dipper features a hardwood handle that stays cool during use. The head of the dipper holds from 1 to 1.5 ounces of molten alloy. Both the head and handle are threaded for both right and left handed users.

Very Good Dipper

This is a well thought out product and hasn't changed in years. Ambidexterous, two handle screw positions. Thick cast iron, holds heat long enough to cast from pure lead if your lead and mold are also hot. Pour spout keeps the dross out of your castings.

Lead Dipper

In my fairly limited use of the Lyman lead dipper, it has performed as expected. The weight and balance is very serviceable. The construction seems to indicate that it should last a while too. I would prefer that the handle were a bit longer though.

It was disappointing to find, "Made in China" on the packaging, hence the demerit to 4 stars.
