The Accura® Nitride V2 rifle is CVA’s premier muzzleloader in a Northwest Legal form. The new patent-pending NW QR Breech Plug now allows hunters in Oregon and Idaho to use this break-action rifle. The new plug gives the rifle an exposed nipple along with musket cap percussion ignition. This new NW Nitride Rifle offers a higher level of performance with more specialized features than other CVA muzzleloader.

The Northwest Accura V2 Nitride Model provides a level of accuracy and performance that is unequaled by any muzzleloader on the market today, due to its custom, premium quality Bergara™ barrel. The Bergara barrel is made from premium-quality 416-grade stainless steel and has quickly become recognized as the most accurate production barrel in the world. And while many of the world's most highly regarded center-fire manufacturers use the Bergara barrel on their guns, only CVA offers them in a muzzleloader. It is this Bergara barrel that enables CVA to guarantee their Accura series rifles to be "The Most Accurate Muzzleloaders You've Ever Shot -- Or Your Money Back."

Making it the closest thing to a “corrosion-proof “muzzleloader that has ever been developed, the Accura Nitride Rifle features new innovation with a Nitride-treated Bergara barrel that’s meant to take the high-end rifle to a new level. The Nitride finish technology, known as Salt Bath Nitride, is used to treat the barrel. Already available in military applications, the nitride process hardens the outer layer of steel, making it both more durable and corrosion-resistant than chrome, which was previously the highest standard in bore-toughening techniques. Unlike exterior ceramic coatings, the nitride process penetrates both the inside and outside of the barrel and can withstand thousands of shots.

The Accura V2 is designed to fit a wide range of shooters with its compact size. The V2 Nitride provides just the right combination of balance and maneuverability for the rifle's intended purpose. The Accura is simplistic in operation because the breeching lever is built right into the trigger guard, making the Accura one of the easiest opening break-actions on the market. This gun can be disassembled by simply removing a single screw. The rifle's ergonomically designed stock is fully ambidextrous and is upgraded with a Soft-Touch Camo coating and rubber grip panels, making it both comfortable and secure in the harshest of weather conditions. Finally, each NW Accura Model comes standard with DuraSight® Fiber Optic Sights and matching camo Quake® CLAW® Contour Sling.

  1. Ignition problems review by Derry H on 10/6/2017
    Rating

"You can have the best barrel, trigger, etc. But if the gun won't fire you've wasted a lot of time on the other components. To cure the musket ignition problem all cva has to do is replace the nipple in the new BP with a #11. Mine fires 50% of the time and I keep everything clean (not my first rodeo) had to go back to my old knight for dependability. Can't draw tags and travel to hunt, crawl thru rock and grass like a snake to get your shot only to have the gun not fire (my antelope hunt)."

  2. A better muzzle load ???? review by David M. on 3/22/2016
    Rating

"Had to buy a new breech plug , would only fire 50 % of the time, barrel or sights not centered had to move rear sight all the way to the left. I am glad they told me it was a better muzzleloader you would have never guessed."

  3. Musket Cap ignition review by Kurt L. on 9/20/2015
    Rating

"You have to pay attention to all of the information that is disclosed on this firearm. I say that because not all information is listed in one spot. For example, about three lines down in the intro it says what the ignition is...it says that this is a musket cap ignition rifle and there is no way to change it to a #11 percussion cap (like all of the other rifles on the market today). So when you get to the range and decided to shove a round down there thinking that you will drop your tried and trued #11 cap on there, think again. This rifle only accepts musket caps for ignition....Nor do they tell you there is no conversion breech plug to change it to a #11 cap. Was not happy to find this out after purchasing this rifle. I cannot elaborate on how the gun shoots overall...As for workmanship, pretty standard stuff. The finish looks more painted on then anything else. My take it is just a cheaper version of the Black T coating. I guess I will found out here in the next couple of weeks during elk season how it holds up."

  4. NW Accura review by Jed F. on 9/1/2015
    Rating

"I hunt in Oregon so this rifle is a great option as compared to the traditional models, I am pretty darn accurate at 100 yards and in. And with open sights, that's all I need! "
