Description

At the heart of the Hornady™ muzzleloading bullets you will find its patriarch the SST-ML. This bullet was specifically designed for 200+ yard shots. It comes in a .50 caliber sabot with a .45 caliber 300 grain bullet. The SST features Hornady’s patented Flex Tip™ which aids in bullet expansion upon impact. This bullet out performs the competition by flying flatter and farther than anything else on the market.

Hornady’s exclusive Flex Tip™ accomplishes optimal flight performance at low velocities over longer-distances, which makes it ideal for muzzleloading. Specifically engineered to provide pinpoint accuracy, penetration and high weight retention, the SST-ML™ is not your average bullet. The SST™ also comes with the newly designed Low Drag sabot, allowing for easier reloading.

Not a fan of sabots

I am not a sabot fan because they leave residue behind in the barrel. However, it takes a lot of shooting to do that with these sabots. I am not sure the difference between these and others but they seem to be more accurate, higher velocity, and allow for 3 shots before cleaning. Highly recommend.

Great ML bullet

This is a really good and accurate bullet I use them in my cva optima v2 and I can hit a 1 inch group at 100 yards

Best muzzleloader bullet on the market!!!

i shoot these out of my CVA Optima V2, at 100 yds I GET SUB 1/2 " GROUPS, AND THE FINAL TEST WAS A BUTTON BUCK STANDING AT 267 YARDS, SHE WENT STRAIGHT TO THE GROUND WHEN THE 300 GRAN BULLET HIT HER HIGH IN THE SHOULDER, VERY IMPRESSIVE, COKE CAN EXIT HOLE AT 267 YARDS...These bullets will be in my muzzleloader period!!!

RIGHT ON TARGET WITH MUZZLE-LOADER.COM

THEY COST LESS THAN MOST. THE PREFORM BEST ON DEER SIZE GAME, AND MUZZLE-LOADER.COM WAS VERY EASY TO USE.

Good 300 Grain Bullet

If you're looking for a decent, cost-effective 300 grain muzzleloader shot this is your item. I was grouping 4 out of 5 shots with this bullet in a new gun, so admittedly there were lots of variables that could account for the outlier (bullet likely one of the last suspects).
