Federal™ Muzzleloader Bullets are the most innovative muzzleloading projectile in decades that are redefining the accuracy and performance of modern, in-line muzzleloaders. The exclusive B.O.R. Lock MZ™ System provides outstanding accuracy in a non-sabot bullet design with sealing mechanism integral with the bullets, that is easy to load and approved for hunting in most areas. Fouling-cutting ring scours powder residue from the breech as the bullet is loaded, resulting in consistent bullet seating and reducing the need to clean between shots.
The system's foundation is a polymer cup that is permanently attached to the bullet base. Before ignition, the polymer cup remains positioned at the rear of the bullet, with the forward obturating ramp exposed, and only the fiber-reinforced base of the cup in contact with the barrel. At ignition, the polymer cup slides forward over both obturating ramps, creating the bullet's bearing surface, keeping the bullet seated and engaging the rifling. The resulting gas seal is incredibly efficient, and optimizes accuracy, velocity and consistency for shooter confidence.
The Federal™ Muzzleloader Bullets all-new technologies give hunters more reliability, consistency and accuracy than ever before. The heat-treated, copper-alloy bullet design features a polymer tip, with a deep, hollow cavity and skiving for consistent, devastating expansion. With no bulky sabot, required loading force averages about half that of most sabot bullets. In addition to extending the effective range of hunters and shooters, the Federal™ Muzzleloader Bullets feature a high ballistic coefficient for flatter trajectories and less wind drift to increase maximum effective range in the field, while delivering plenty of knockdown power with consistent expansion and weight reduction.

Heard this in other reviews !!!!!! review by Martin Kirkwood on 12/24/2019
"I didn’t buy these here but I am compelled to give this review for safety. BULLET slid Halfway out of the barrel !!!! I went to fire my TC Triumph to unload it and after 2 primers I dropped the ram rod in and it only fell halfway..... I had to use a little pressure to reseat the load. Add primer and then the gun discharged..... WORRIED..... bullets were great at the range.... back to the Hornady’s.... I read about this happening in other reviews...... be careful."
The Federal B.O.R. MZ 270 Grain Copper review by Timothy on 11/5/2019
"I shot some of these last year & they preformed flawlessly in my 26" Optima V2 I sold that rifle & I just ordered my CVA Optima V2 LR rifle it has the Nitride treatment & a 28" barrel & I will be shooting the Alliant Blue MZ pellets in my new CVA I will be using the "MAGNUM CHARGE" or the 3 pellet load & I am crossing my fingers that they will do good in my new CVA . I will do another review when I get everything setup "
Outstanding accurate review by Barton on 11/3/2019
"I shot my first deer with these Bore Lock 270 grain copper bullets 50 cal on Oct.18th 2019 early Muzzle loader season in Maryland. Wow ! the 8point buck dropped right where it was standing it wasn't a hard shot about 88 yards. when I skinned the buck the bullet fell out right on the opposite side from where I shot it. I must say I was extremely happy with the expansion of these bullets , it had peeled back all of the way to the black rubber part of the bullet. No wonder when I was gutting the buck I saw his heart cut into 2 pieces and his lung in 3 pieces . I have never seen such an expansion before in a 50 Cal clean shot ! I use white hot pellets because I have found them easy to clean my bore and they are consistent with their charge , extremely accurate bullet in my CVA Wolf breech loader . I don't know about older guns but my wolf I have been using only 2 season now and I love it !These Federal Bore Locks copper 270 grain bullets are dead on with my scope from 200 yards and in. I thought my PowerBelt 250 grain Aerolites where good but these Bore Locks are outstanding and say try them and you will be impress! They are easy to load even after 7 shots , a big bang for the buck. I wish I could upload pictures but I don't see that option here .Buy them you won't be wrong ! "
Accurate but unreliable review by Allen Taylor on 10/29/2019
"In my CVA Accura these are super accurate when they work correctly. The other times the muzzy fires making a weird noise the upon removing the breech plug there is not powder or bullet. What I think is happening is that the rubber gasket around the bottom of the bullet is not expanding properly and allowing most of the hot gases to escape around the bullet upon firing. Same thing happened to my buddy on a bull elk at 50 yds this year. He was also shooting a CVA Accura. "
Excellent accuracy, devastating terminal ballistics. review by Greg A on 9/27/2019
"These shoot extremely accurately from my LHR Redemption. They are devastating on game. Everything I’ve shot with them has dropped. These are a godsend for places like Colorado that require bore sized bullets. "
Nice, but I won't be using them exclusively review by Ryan on 9/25/2019
"I love the way these bullets slide down the barrel, and they shoot well in regard to accuracy, but not as well as other combinations I've used. I have 3 muzzleloaders and the only one I use this bullet with is my Pedersoli Hawken (more difficult to stuff bullets down it). I won't be buying more of these after my current supply runs out. My go to bullet is a Barnes Original 300grn spitzer."
Work great review by Kevin Pagitt on 8/6/2019
"I shot a pig the bullet past right through and was on the ground on other side it is perfectly mushroomed pig didn’t move "
Fantastic review by William Smith on 3/20/2019
"Shot them in my Omega. Most accurate bullet I've shot. Better accuracy with 300 grain over 270 grain for me. Shot my moose with one shot at 120 yards with 300 grain BOR. He went 60 yards and was down and dead before I got reloaded. Bullet under hide on far side. Decent mushroom. EASY to load shot after shot. Sold on them. Will shoot nothing else until or unless something better comes along."
Devastating and accurate review by John on 11/22/2018
"Very accurate, shot doe at about 110 yards facing me. Bullet hit where I was aming. Shot another doe at about 60 yards broad sided, bullet entered, did a lot of damage and exited making a large exit wound."
not for me review by JON WILSON on 6/20/2018

"Used black horn powder, cci mag primers, 110 grains powder, 270 grain bullets, 100 yards 1-inch group in my cva wolf and accura."
Bullets keyholed review by Norm on 9/30/2017
"Shot 3 times , tc encore 2 pyrodex pellets, 1st shot hi, (that's fine). 2nd shot 2ft low ,hit target sideways, 3rd shot didn't seal and struck target sideways again. No way I would trust these. Waste of money and time. "
Federal BOR Lock review by Donnie B. on 12/12/2016

Major Expansion Issues review by Jeremy Moudy on 3/7/2016
"I've shot close to 45 rounds of the Federal BOR Locks with my Traditions Vortek LDR. Not ONE bullet mushroomed or expanded. They were accurate and had no trouble grouping them but these bullets do not expand like they should. I also did a little research on them on google and others have had the same issue. I do not recommend these bullets. "
I gave all my other bullets away review by D. Martens on 12/7/2015
"I sighted in using 100gr. Of blackhorn 209 in my CVA Accura, it was absolutely as accurate as any other bullet, I shot a nice Doe at 60 yds. Quartering towards me initial impact drove her to the ground, she managed to get to her feet and went about 40 yds. After the bullet transferred all its energy to the animal I found the bullet just under the hide away from me. It was perfectly mushroomed and intact retaining all of its weight. I have 2 packages in my stock and just ordered 2 more I am set for a while"
Accurate review by Rick on 10/19/2015
"These are super easy to load and very accurate bullets im getting 1 inch groups at 100 yards with my Cva accura MR. I gave 4 stars cause have not taken a animal with them yet but will post up results when I do."
Best ML bullets on the market review by Chris F. on 10/19/2015
"TC BONE COLLECTOR, 50 cal. 100 grains pyrodex,, open sights, 1st shot right, small correction, left of dead center, 1 more small correction dead center next 4 shots, 50 yards, moved to 100 yard range, next 2 shots in the diamond, best bullet ive shot, if they have good terminal results on upcoming season , will write an update."
Would not group review by Mike D on 10/16/2015
"Could not get a tight group. At 100yds the groups could be anywhere in an 8 inch circle. I tried using 2 triple 7 60 grain magnum pellets, 2 regular 50 grain pellets and then one magnum and one regular and I could not get anything consistent out of any of them. I switched to the Hornady SST-ML with the 2 magnum pellets and all shots were touching at 100 yds. I clean the bore after every shot while sighting in to simulate the first shot out of a clean bore like in a hunting situation. I will be trying the 300 grain Harvester scorpion gold next. The Hornady shoots good for me and I have taken deer with it but they have issues expanding and I was using the 250 grain which does not have a great BC past 150yds. "
Consistent, accurate, reliable! review by Max T. on 9/3/2015
"Not only is this the newest and most innovative bullet on the market, it is everything they say…..consistent, accurate and reliable, plus loading is almost effortless. The only down side is availability!
Work Well review by Fred G. on 7/22/2015
"Really cool design and concept. They seem to work well. Shot them at the range and had 3" groups at 100 yards. Can't wait for deer season!"
