SHOT Show 2019: Traditions™ Firearms

PRESS RELEASE

Traditions Firearms had an amazing booth at SHOT Show 2019 and Muzzle-Loaders.com had the amazing opportunity to check out the new and old products presented by Traditions! The biggest releases were the new Traditions Pursuit G4 Ultralight Northwest LDR and the many different Traditions Smackdown Sabots that were released for modern inline muzzleloaders.

Traditions Pursuit G4 Ultralight Northwest LDR

The Traditions Pursuit G4 Ultralight Northwest LDR (Long Distance Rifle) is equipped with a 30" chromoly steel barrel which is drilled and tapped for a scope mount and an open sight setup. The chromoly steel construction gives this Pursuit G4 muzzleloader an extremely lightweight build and will enable accurate shots up to and beyond 200 yards, which has never been seen before in the Pursuit G4 muzzleloader line. The Northwest components are specifically designed to follow muzzleloader hunting regulations in the states of Oregon and Idaho. The NW Accelerator Breech Plug exposes the musket cap nipple to the elements and can be removed within three rotations, making cleanup and maintenance a breeze.

The New Pursuit G4 NW LDR can also be converted between a musket cap ignition and a 209 ignition system with the Traditions Northwest Conversion Breech Plug. This also makes the first time that a 30" barreled inline muzzleloader can be converted between a musket and 209 ignition system, which provides many different ignition options.

Traditions Smackdown Bullets

Traditions Firearms has also been in development of three new Traditions Smackdown muzzleloader bullets. Each Smackdown bullet is used with the .50 Ridgeback Sabot which is easy-to-load and has horizontal ridges with a deeper cup for a superior gas seal. The three new bullet designs include the Smackdown XR (Extreme Range), the Smackdown Carnivore, and the Smackdown Bleed.

The Smackdown XR bullet has a copper cored bullet with a red polycarbonate tip. The Smackdown XR is available in three different grains from 200 to 250 and is maximized for mid-sized game such as whitetail deer, mule deer, and predators.
